he title derives from an old Hollywood film directed by Billy Wilder with William Holden, Gloria Swanson and Erich von Stroheim.
The avenue of sunset is a watercolor that represents a long avenue lined with trees in autumn, when the colors of the leaves explode in warm and full-bodied colors that precede the decadence and decomposition of winter. A window to look at the forest appears dark and gloomy with its deep shadows but, approaching without fear, you can appreciate the wonder of the leafy trees, the scents of the undergrowth and the golden colors of the falling leaves.
About Alessandro Andreuccetti
Born in San Gimignano, Italy, in 1955, he studied art and architecture in Florence and then began his work in 1980 as an illustrator, designer and painter. He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and in the world and many works are in public and private collections. Shape, color and textures make up the skeleton on which I build my images, or perhaps it would be better to speak of visions or dreams because it all begins and develops first in my mind, more or less unconsciously, and later, much later, he moved on canvas or paper.
